General FAQs
How do I know which course I need?
Start with the requirement given to you by your employer, school, licensing body, contract, union, or project owner. Course names can sound similar, but the required format and completion document may differ, and the organization imposing the requirement decides what it will accept. Contact us before registering when you are unsure, and we will help you match the requirement to the correct course.
How do I register?
Course pages list current offerings. Registration is completed directly with our team by phone at 617-840-0113 or email at Lifesavingedu@gmail.com so we can confirm the right course, format, date, and any prerequisites before payment. Group and onsite training is scheduled through a written proposal.
What should I bring and wear?
Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to kneel and participate in hands-on activities. LSE provides the training equipment identified in the course description. HAZWOPER, confined space, rescue, and workplace safety classes may require work-appropriate clothing, closed-toe footwear, or specific personal protective equipment, which will be identified before class. Bring a government-issued photo ID for courses that require identity verification.
What forms of payment do you accept?
Major credit cards are accepted through the site’s payment system. Approved invoicing may be available for employers, organizations, and private group training. Seats are not reserved until payment or an accepted written agreement is in place.
What happens if I arrive late?
Certifying organizations require full attendance. A participant who arrives after instruction begins may be denied entry or may not be eligible for a completion document at LSE’s discretion, and standard cancellation terms apply. If you are running late, call us immediately so we can advise your options.
What is your weather and emergency cancellation policy?
If LSE cancels a class for weather, instructor illness, facility issues, or emergency response obligations, registered students receive a free transfer to the next available class or a full refund of fees paid to LSE. LSE is not responsible for a participant’s travel or lodging costs. Because our instructors are active emergency services professionals, rare same-day changes can occur, and we will notify you as early as possible.
Can I request an accommodation?
Yes. Contact LSE as early as possible before your class date. We work in good faith to provide reasonable access while preserving safety, essential skills components, protected curricula, secure testing, and issuing-organization requirements. Some certifying bodies require specific skills to be physically demonstrated, and those requirements cannot be waived by LSE.
Can minors attend?
Some courses may be appropriate for minors when registered or authorized by a parent, legal guardian, school, employer, or sponsoring organization. Age, supervision, consent, and program rules vary by course and certifying organization. Contact us before registering a minor.
Will photos or video be taken in class?
Training may occasionally be photographed for quality assurance or promotion. Participants will be informed, and anyone may decline to appear in promotional media without affecting their course standing. Recording of protected curriculum or testing by participants is not permitted.
Course and Completion FAQs
How long is my course completion card valid?
AHA provider and Heartsaver course completion eCards are generally valid for two years. Federal OSHA Outreach student course completion cards do not have a federal expiration date, although an employer, jurisdiction, union, project owner, or contract may require more recent training. HAZWOPER-covered employees may require annual refresher training based on their duties and employer responsibilities.
Do you offer blended or online options?
Selected AHA courses may use an approved online cognitive component followed by an in-person hands-on skills session. Required hands-on skills cannot be replaced by online-only completion. Other programs have different rules, and some courses cannot be delivered fully online. Beware of providers selling online-only cards for courses that require hands-on testing; many employers and licensing bodies reject them.
When will I receive my card or certificate?
Completion documents are issued after all attendance, skills, testing, identity, documentation, and administrative requirements are satisfied. Timing depends on the course, issuing organization, Training Center or Authorizing Training Organization processing, and the accuracy of the participant information provided at registration. Errors in a participant’s legal name or email are the most common cause of delay.
Does paying for and attending a class guarantee completion?
No. Participants must meet all applicable attendance, conduct, knowledge, skills, testing, identity-verification, prerequisite, and documentation requirements. LSE cannot issue a completion document to a participant who has not met the issuing organization’s requirements, regardless of payment.
What happens if I do not pass a skills test or written exam?
Remediation and retesting follow the issuing organization’s current rules for that course. Where permitted, our instructors provide coaching and a retest opportunity within the class when time allows, or schedule a return visit. Additional session fees may apply for retesting that requires a separate appointment. Remediation is a normal part of training, and our instructors will work with you.
I let a card lapse. Do I need the full course again?
Renewal options depend on the course, issuing organization, employer requirement, and how long the prior completion document has been expired. Update and renewal classes assume current knowledge, and instructors may direct a student to a full provider course when performance shows it is needed. Contact LSE before registering so we can identify the correct option.
How do I get a replacement card or fix a name error?
Contact us with your course date and the name used at registration. eCard corrections and reissues are processed through the issuing organization’s system and may take additional processing time. Corrections to a legal name may require documentation.
Is a LearnPress certificate the same as an AHA or OSHA card?
No. A generic LSE or LearnPress site certificate is not a substitute for an AHA course completion eCard, an OSHA Outreach student course completion card, an authorized program certificate, an employer certification, a professional license, or a government credential. Official completion documents come only from the applicable issuing organization after all requirements are met.
Will my employer or licensing body accept the course?
The organization imposing the requirement decides what it will accept. Participants and purchasers are responsible for verifying the required course, format, provider, completion document, and date before registering. When in doubt, ask your employer for the requirement in writing and send it to us; we will tell you plainly whether our course matches it.
Onsite and Group Training FAQs
Do you train groups at our location?
Yes. LSE provides onsite and private training for workplaces, healthcare teams, public-safety organizations, schools, community groups, and other organizations across the East Coast. Scheduling, pricing, travel, equipment, facility, and minimum-class requirements are addressed in the written proposal.
Is there a group minimum or maximum?
Minimums and maximums vary by course based on certifying-organization ratios, equipment, and instructor staffing, and are stated in the proposal. Final headcount changes after acceptance may change pricing or require an additional instructor.
What does the client need to provide?
The accepted proposal identifies the required training space, seating, utilities, parking, access, participant roster, site contact, safety information, and other client responsibilities. The client must disclose known hazards and restrictions that may affect training. Failure to provide the agreed facilities or disclosures may result in rescheduling at the client’s expense.
What if we need to cancel or reschedule an onsite class?
Client cancellation, rescheduling, and no-show terms are stated in the accepted proposal, including any deposits and travel costs already incurred. LSE-initiated cancellations are rescheduled at no additional cost or refunded for services not delivered.
Does onsite training certify our entire workplace program?
Not unless a written agreement expressly says so. Training does not automatically constitute a regulatory inspection, engineering evaluation, workplace-compliance audit, medical clearance, respirator fit test, rescue-team qualification, or approval of the client’s written program. Employers remain responsible for their own programs and regulatory compliance.
Who teaches the classes?
LSE uses a team of experienced instructors. Every LSE instructor is at least a paramedic with teaching experience, and some instructors also bring firefighter-paramedic, military, tactical, clinical, technical-rescue, or occupational-safety experience. The assigned instructor may vary by course, location, and specialty.
Cancellation and Refund Summary
Standard schedule (public classes): cancel 7 or more days before class for a full refund or free transfer. Cancel within 7 days for a free transfer to a later class or a refund minus any non-recoverable materials fees. Within 48 hours of class or a no-show, fees are forfeited, though one courtesy transfer may be offered at LSE’s discretion. Course-specific materials that have been issued or activated, such as eBooks and online access keys, are non-refundable once delivered. LSE-initiated cancellations always receive a free transfer or a full refund. Private and onsite training follows the accepted proposal.

Required Program Disclaimers
American Heart Association
The American Heart Association strongly promotes knowledge and proficiency in BLS, ACLS, and PALS and has developed instructional materials for this purpose. Use of these materials in an educational course does not represent course sponsorship by the American Heart Association. Any fees charged for such a course, except for a portion of fees needed for AHA course materials, do not represent income to the Association.
OSHA Outreach Training Program
Life Saving Education delivers OSHA Outreach Training Program classes through authorized Outreach trainers. The OSHA Outreach Training Program is voluntary. Completion does not constitute OSHA certification, approval, or endorsement of Life Saving Education or any participant, and it does not by itself satisfy every employer, jurisdiction, or site-specific training requirement. Students who successfully complete a class receive an official Department of Labor OSHA Outreach student course completion card. Life Saving Education is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of OSHA or the U.S. Department of Labor.
HAZWOPER and Workplace Safety Courses
HAZWOPER, confined space, and other workplace safety training supports, but does not replace, the employer’s own written programs, hazard assessments, site-specific training, medical surveillance where applicable, and regulatory responsibilities under OSHA standards. Course completion documents an employee’s participation in training and does not by itself establish regulatory compliance for any employer.
Medical Training Notice
LSE courses are education and skills training. They are not medical advice, medical direction, a medical credential, or a license to practice, and they do not create a provider-patient relationship. Participants act in real emergencies under applicable law, their own certifications and scope of practice, and their employer’s or medical director’s policies. In an emergency, call 911.
