This Cancellation, Transfer, and Refund Policy applies to public registrations purchased directly from Life Saving Education (“LSE”) unless the course page, accepted proposal, employer agreement, issuing-organization rule, or applicable law provides different terms.
1. Student cancellation and transfer
- Seven or more calendar days before class: the purchaser may request a refund, less any specifically disclosed and lawfully nonrefundable third-party cost, or one transfer to an available equivalent class.
- Between 72 hours and seven calendar days before class: the registration may be transferred once to an available equivalent class. Tuition is otherwise nonrefundable unless required by law or a course-specific policy.
- Less than 72 hours before class, after class begins, or for a no-show: tuition is nonrefundable and nontransferable, except where required by law or where LSE approves a documented emergency exception.
A transferred registration must generally be used within six months, unless a shorter program, card, online-access, or contractual deadline applies. Transfer requests are subject to seat availability, current pricing, prerequisites, and program rules.
2. Late arrival, missed time, and incomplete attendance
Many courses require full attendance and minimum contact hours. Late arrival, early departure, missed sessions, or insufficient participation may prevent completion. A refund is not provided when a participant is ineligible because of attendance, conduct, unmet prerequisites, failed identity verification, incomplete pre-course work, or failure to demonstrate required competencies.
When a program permits makeup training, any makeup is subject to the program’s rules, instructor availability, required completion window, and additional cost.
3. Online access, digital materials, manuals, and cards
Online access codes, digital manuals, shipped materials, replacement cards, and other third-party products are nonrefundable after they have been issued, opened, activated, redeemed, customized, submitted for processing, or made nonreturnable by the supplier, except where required by law.
If a product is defective or LSE provided the wrong item, contact us promptly so we can arrange a correction, replacement, or other appropriate remedy.
4. LSE cancellation or rescheduling
LSE may cancel or reschedule a class because of instructor illness, weather, unsafe travel, facility problems, low enrollment, equipment failure, program restrictions, public-health conditions, or events beyond reasonable control.
When LSE cancels a class, the purchaser may accept an available replacement date or receive a refund of eligible tuition paid for that class. Unless required by law or a written agreement, LSE is not responsible for indirect expenses such as wages, travel, lodging, childcare, parking, employer penalties, or lost business opportunity.
5. OSHA Outreach trainer-canceled classes
For a trainer-canceled OSHA Outreach class, LSE will follow current OSHA Outreach Training Program Requirements. If the class is canceled without a rescheduled option accepted by the student, full course tuition and fees will be reimbursed within five business days. If LSE offers a rescheduled class, a student who does not affirmatively agree within 10 business days of cancellation will receive full reimbursement of course tuition and fees.
6. Weather and emergency closures
LSE may delay, relocate, convert a session when permitted, or reschedule because of severe weather, transportation disruption, public emergency, unsafe facility conditions, or government action. Participants should monitor the contact information used at registration. If LSE conducts the class as scheduled and a participant chooses not to attend, the normal student-cancellation terms apply unless LSE announces a different arrangement.
7. Private and onsite training
Private and onsite training follows the cancellation, travel, minimum-fee, and rescheduling terms in the accepted proposal or contract. The client may be responsible for committed instructor time, nonrefundable materials, travel, facility, equipment, or subcontractor costs identified in the agreement.
8. Refund processing
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method when reasonably possible. LSE will initiate an approved refund promptly, but the bank or payment processor may require additional time to post the credit. If an original payment method is unavailable, LSE may require identity and payment verification before issuing another form of refund.
9. Chargebacks and payment disputes
Please contact LSE before initiating a chargeback so we can review the registration, attendance, transfer, or refund record. Fraudulent or abusive payment disputes may result in suspension of account access and collection of amounts lawfully owed.
10. How to request a cancellation, transfer, or refund
Send the participant name, course, class date, purchaser email, and requested action to Lifesavingedu@gmail.com or call 617-840-0113. The effective request time is when LSE receives enough information to identify the registration.
Nothing in this policy limits a refund or cancellation right that cannot lawfully be waived.
