Training Disclaimers & Program Notices

  • Training Disclaimers & Program Notices

Last updated: July 15, 2026

This page explains important program, medical-training, safety, and credential notices that apply to Life Saving Education (“LSE”) courses. Course-specific pages and written contracts may include additional requirements.

General educational and medical notice

LSE provides education and skills training. Website content and classroom instruction are not individualized medical diagnosis, treatment, legal advice, or a substitute for emergency services. In an emergency, call 911 and follow current emergency-dispatch instructions. Participants should act within their training, authorization, scope of practice, employer policy, and applicable law.

American Heart Association course notice

LSE may offer American Heart Association courses through the applicable AHA Training Center and current authorized instructors. Successful completion requires satisfaction of all current attendance, participation, skills, testing, and administrative requirements. Eligible students receive the applicable AHA course completion eCard; students are not described as “AHA certified.”

LSE sets and collects its own course fees. The American Heart Association does not set or collect LSE tuition. Before any paid AHA course page or promotional material is published, LSE will insert the exact current AHA course-fee disclaimer required by the current AHA Program Administration Manual or Training Center without editing it.

AHA logos, seals, protected course materials, examinations, answer keys, videos, algorithms, and instructor-only materials may not be copied or distributed except as authorized. A generic LearnPress certificate is not a substitute for an AHA eCard.

OSHA Outreach Training Program notice

LSE provides applicable OSHA Outreach Training Program classes through an OSHA-authorized Outreach trainer whose authorization must be current for the advertised industry. The trainer is an independent training provider and is not an OSHA employee. OSHA does not approve or endorse individual trainers or classes.

The OSHA Outreach Training Program provides basic and more advanced information about common workplace safety and health hazards. It is a voluntary program under federal OSHA, although an employer, union, municipality, project owner, or other organization may require it. Outreach training does not satisfy an employer’s obligation to provide training required by specific OSHA standards, and none of the Outreach courses is a certification.

Students who successfully complete all requirements receive an OSHA student course completion card. The card is not a professional certification or license. Full attendance, required contact hours, accurate legal-name information, identity verification, and all class requirements are mandatory. The organization imposing a training requirement determines what it will accept.

LSE does not use the OSHA or U.S. Department of Labor logo or seal and does not advertise classes as “OSHA approved,” “OSHA certified,” “OSHA licensed,” or “OSHA compliant.”

HAZWOPER notice

LSE provides only the instruction and hands-on components specifically identified on the course page or contract. The employer remains responsible for determining whether 29 CFR 1910.120 or 1926.65 applies, selecting the correct employee category and training duration, evaluating trainer qualifications, providing required site-specific instruction and supervised field experience, supplying appropriate equipment, and meeting medical, respiratory-protection, and employee-qualification responsibilities.

Initial 24-hour and 40-hour HAZWOPER training must include required hands-on components and cannot be represented as fully satisfied by online-only instruction. Course completion alone does not authorize work or establish employer certification for assigned duties.

Confined-space notice

Completion of an LSE confined-space course does not by itself create an employer permit-required confined-space program, authorize an employee to enter a space, establish medical or respiratory clearance, verify that equipment is compatible with a specific space, or qualify an organization as an entry-rescue service.

Employer authorization, hazard evaluation, permits, site-specific procedures, equipment training, communications, rescue planning, and demonstrated competency remain required. Non-entry retrieval training is not the same as entry rescue or technical-rescue-team qualification.

Stop the Bleed and bleeding-control notice

The official STOP THE BLEED® program name and trademark attribution are used only when a course is delivered under current authorized program and instructor requirements. The STOP THE BLEED® mark is owned by the U.S. Department of Defense, Defense Health Agency, and the American College of Surgeons program operates under license. A non-program offering will be described as bleeding-control training rather than an official program course.

Completion documents and employer acceptance

LSE does not guarantee that a card, certificate, course format, or completion date will satisfy every employer, license, school, union, contract, insurer, project owner, or jurisdiction. Purchasers and participants must verify acceptance before registering. A generic LSE or LearnPress certificate does not replace an issuing-organization card, employer certification, professional license, or government credential.

Onsite-training scope and client responsibilities

Unless expressly included in a written proposal, onsite training is not a regulatory inspection, engineering review, workplace-compliance audit, medical evaluation, respirator fit test, rescue-team certification, or approval of the client’s written program. The client remains responsible for the workplace, employees, required policies, equipment, and compliance decisions.

The client must provide a suitable learning environment and disclose known hazards, access controls, infection-control rules, hazardous materials, confined spaces, energized equipment, respiratory hazards, and other conditions that may affect delivery. LSE may stop or modify an activity when conditions are unsafe, unsuitable, or outside the agreed scope.

Instructor-team statement

LSE uses a team of experienced instructors. Every LSE instructor is at least a paramedic with teaching experience, and some instructors also bring firefighter-paramedic, military, tactical, clinical, technical-rescue, or occupational-safety experience. The specific instructor assigned to a course may vary. LSE does not claim that the owner personally teaches every class.
