Massachusetts OEMS-Approved Continuing Education
Life Saving Education offers Massachusetts Office of Emergency Medical Services-approved continuing education for personnel at all three current Massachusetts EMS certification levels:
- EMT
- Advanced EMT
- Paramedic
The correct agency name is the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, Office of Emergency Medical Services, commonly called OEMS.
This offering is continuing education for already-certified EMS personnel. It should not be confused with an initial EMT, Advanced EMT, or Paramedic certification program. Initial certification programs must be conducted through a Massachusetts DPH-accredited training institution at the applicable level.
For continuing education used toward Massachusetts recertification, the course must carry the applicable OEMS approval or registration number issued by OEMS or a Regional EMS Office. The specific approval number, eligible continuing-education hours, delivery format, and participant requirements will be identified in the course announcement or completion documentation.
Participants should retain their course completion certificate, roster documentation, or other proof of completion for their records.
