ACS Stop the Bleed
Learn to recognize life-threatening bleeding and respond with pressure, wound packing, and tourniquet application.
Severe bleeding can become life-threatening within minutes. This hands-on course teaches participants how to recognize life-threatening bleeding, apply direct pressure, pack a wound, and correctly use a commercial tourniquet while waiting for emergency medical services.

Your Instructors
Life Saving Education courses are taught by a team of experienced instructors. Every LSE instructor is at least a paramedic with teaching experience, and many bring additional firefighter, clinical, technical-rescue, or occupational-safety backgrounds. The assigned instructor may vary by course, location, and specialty.

STOP THE BLEED is a registered trademark of the American College of Surgeons, and the course follows the national STOP THE BLEED curriculum. Completion prepares participants to provide bleeding control as trained lay responders and is not a medical license or professional credential.
Completion Documents
Completion documents are issued by the applicable certifying organization after all attendance, skills, testing, and administrative requirements are met. A generic site certificate is never a substitute for an official course completion card or eCard. The organization imposing your training requirement decides what it will accept; verify the required course and completion document before registering.
