Stop the Bleed®
Severe bleeding can become life-threatening within minutes. This hands-on course teaches participants how to recognize life-threatening bleeding and take immediate action until emergency medical services arrive.
Students learn how to apply direct pressure, pack a wound, and correctly use a commercial tourniquet. The course includes realistic demonstrations and practical skill stations designed to build confidence and improve performance during an emergency.
This training is appropriate for workplaces, schools, community organizations, public-safety personnel, healthcare teams, security staff, and anyone who wants to be prepared to respond when seconds count.
Topics include:
- Recognizing life-threatening bleeding
- Personal safety and emergency scene assessment
- Applying effective direct pressure
- Wound packing techniques
- Correct tourniquet application
- Communicating with 911 and assisting emergency responders
No previous medical experience is required. Participants receive hands-on instruction from experienced emergency-care professionals and leave with practical skills they can use during a real-world bleeding emergency.
